“That reminds me of the time...”

The Fisherman has sailed on every ocean, river, lake and stream in the world, and he has a story for each one. He can tell you all about the time he caught an entire school of flying fish with a butterfly net, was shipwrecked by a typhoon and escaped with the help of a friendly whale, or hooked a giant squid with nothing more than a fishing rod and an old rubber boot for bait.

Of course, no one believes these obvious tall tales, which makes the Fisherman a little cranky, because every single one of them is absolutely true. It’s not his fault that he had to throw his catch back because it wasn’t giant squid season yet, or that the batteries in his camera died that time he caught a sea serpent off the coast of Greenland. One day he’ll bring back proof, and then everyone will finally believe his stories!

spotted: ban dai godzilla action figures

Spotted these Ban Dai Godzilla figures at Festival Mall Alabang Toy Town. These figures are in line with the 2014 Godzilla Movie. Only two characters are available, Godzilla himself and Winged Muto.

happy meal philippines - my little pony

Here is the other set of toys for this month’s Happy Meal Philippines, featuring Hasbro’s My Little Pony. The set is consists of four colorful Little Ponies. Around September last year, Little Pony set was also released (see here complete set). The Ponies for this set still have the trademark “real-hair” tails. 

I was able to complete last year’s release and hoping this one too.

For this month’s Happy Meal, the first set is from Bandai’s VOOV. This is the second time VOOV is featured in the Philippines (view the first set here). VOOV are vehicles that transform into another vehicle, hence the two vehicles in the photo. 

Last time this set was released, I was able to get only one from the set. Still thinking if I’ll get this set this time.

Here is the latest Jollibee Kid’s Meal toys featuring our friendly neighbourhood Spider-man. The toys are not that impressive but worth getting because it is Spider-man. The magnetic gimmick is a very nice touch making Spidey looks crawling and sticking to the wall. The shooter’s figure also has a very nice Spidey pose. I just really wish that it includes other character figure like Elektro, Green Goblin or even a Gwen Stacey.

The Tribal Chief lives for adventure. If there’s a mountain, he’ll climb it. If there’s a river, he’ll swim it. If there’s a desert, he’ll pack his bags and cross it, just because he can. All he needs is the great outdoors and an exciting challenge, and he’ll be right there, daring it all and trying to get everyone he knows to join in on the fun. 

As he sees it, his mission in life is to go everywhere and do everything the wide world has to offer…but the best part is that even when he’s done everything he can think of doing, he knows that there will still be more adventures waiting just around the corner!
